Generations of quilters live in my family. My Mimi must have been a very fine quilter. She certainly taught her daughters well. My mother and her sisters made beautiful quilts in the thirties. In today’s rushed world current quilt lovers are most often lovers only. We love and appreciate quilts, but most often buy them instead of making them.

I learned to love quilts from my mother. Later, I had the rare privilege of being tutored by a master quilter who learned her art as an Amish girl. Their combined craft led me to research, study and finally my own group of quilters. We made fine quilts in East Texas until my real career demanded too much. I have missed it, and am now working to continue this priceless legacy in this blog.
